Classical Ballet Program
Description and Requirements
Introduction:
The Ballet Program offered at Leaping Feats Creative Danceworks provides students
a complete and comprehensive ballet curriculum. Dancers wanting the foundation for
a possible career in ballet and those students who have the desire to study classical
ballet in addition to their Repertory or Recreational dance classes will find this to be a
rewarding and challenging program.
Performance Opportunities:
Cecchetti Ballet Students will have the distinction of performing a ballet piece in
Leaping Feats year-end recital. In November we plan to hold auditions for Sleeping
Beauty (excerpts) this will be an open audition. In April our in-studio concert gives
students the opportunity to perform what they have learned during the year. This is a
special time for both students and parents.

Grade I & II

*Note: Cecchetti students will be required to purchase a uniform. When you
have registered we will provide you with more information.
*Note: Returning Cecchetti students have the option of wearing last year’s
uniform.

- Pink Ballet Slippers (elastics sewn securely)
- Chiffon short wraparound
- skirt (pink)
- Leotard (pink)

- Ballet Sweater
Grade III & IV
- Pink Tights
- Pink Ballet Slippers (elastics sewn securely)
- Chiffon short wraparound skirt (Lavander)
- Leotard (Lavander)
- Wrap-around Ballet Sweater (Pink or white)
- Thera-band Medium
- Ballet Bag
- 3 Ring Binder (with paper, dividers, pen & pencil)
Grade V & VI
- Pink Tights
- Pink Ballet Slippers (elastics sewn securely)
- Chiffon shortt wraparound skirt (light blue)
- Leotard (White)
- Wrap-around Ballet Sweater (pink or white)
- Thera-band Medium
- Ballet Bag
- 3 Ring Binder (with paper, dividers, pen & pencil)

Etiquette:
- Arrive 15 minutes before class to be prepared appropriately.
- Hair up neatly without stray hairs flying about. Loose hair interferes with focus during class and is a waste of time.
- No gum.
- Proper dance practice clothes.
- Leotards and tights washed before class.
- No heavy jewelry.
- No heavy make-up.
- Respectful and positive tone in class as well as dressing rooms.
